


"Figure 8" paralympic basketball centre
“Figure 8” is based on the concept of continuity extracted from the basic shape of an 8. The emphasis on rotation and motion is driven by the lifestyle of a Paralympian and the curved site in order to aid an ADA-accessible space of ramped and terraced planes. The project exhibits an external farming roof that supplies its internal dining. Cycling its resources lowers the ecological footprint, and reduces travel emissions and other processing toxins, and maintains a continuous economy scaffolding in a manner similar to the Rolex Center to maintain steel delicacy and an abundance of open glass. The transparency and lifted entrances encourage a welcoming space for the surrounding community to utilize shared program.
